Offset mortgageOffset mortgage

Is your current account normally in credit? Do you also have a savings account? Then a National Irish Bank offset mortgage can significantly reduce the interest payable on your mortgage. How? It takes the money you have, and ‘offsets’ it against any money you owe. So you can use your current and savings account balances to help repay your mortgage. With an offset mortgage, your money works a lot harder for you.

The benefits of an offset mortgage include:

  • Your savings work harder for you by reducing the interest you pay on your mortgage.
  • You can use your offset current account and offset savings account as you would normally, making deposits and withdrawals whenever you choose.
  • You can make occasional lump sum payments on your mortgage.
  • You have the option of weekly, fortnightly or monthly repayments.
