Access ID is your electronic identification and signature for National Irish Bank Direct Banking – eBanking, 24/7 Telephone Banking and Customer Support Team. It allows you to conduct your banking safely as an identified customer.
Your Access ID consists of an eight digit user ID, a password and your personal security card.

Access ID is our log on solution for 24/7 Telephone Banking. To access 24/7 Telephone Banking please call 1850 200 400 or to call from overseas 003535 1 478 1014.
How do I use Access ID?
To use Access ID you need three items:
1. An eight digit unique user ID
2. A password - this is a four digit PIN
3. A security card
When you call 24/7 Telephone Banking you will hear:
Please enter your user ID followed by the hash key
- Please enter your 4-digit password followed by the hash key
- After you have entered this information successfully you will be given the Telephone Banking options. The Options for Setting Up a Bill Payment (4) and for Changing your Password (5) will require you to enter a code from your security card.

With Access ID you can avoid having to answer security questions each time you call us. It makes the service much more efficient for you because an advisor can help you straight away.
When you call us you will hear the following options:
- For 24/7 Telephone Banking press 1
- To become a customer of the Bank press 2
- Business Customers press 3
- All other customers press 4
Please press Option 4 to talk to an advisor and you will hear the following:
- Please enter your user ID followed by the hash key
- Please enter your 4-digit password followed by the hash key
After you have entered this information successfully you will be transferred to an advisor. In some cases you may be required to enter a code from your security card. Please have this to hand when you call us.

If you require any assistance using your Access ID or ordering any of the security items, you can call into your branch or phone our Customer Support Team where any member of staff can assist you with your Access ID.
If you suspect your Access ID (user ID, password and/or security card) has been compromised you must block your Access ID immediately. Please contact our Customer Support Team on 1890 812 007 or contact your local branch who will block your Access ID for you.
