Fraud Prevention Fraud Prevention

At National Irish Bank we never compromise on security. We endeavour to make all our systems and processes secure and safe for you to use. This in turn means that fraudsters are using ever more sophisticated methods to get access to your money. By understanding the different types of fraud and by following simple practical advice together we can strengthen our defences.

Knowing what the issues are is the first step towards prevention. Below is a link to a fraud prevention guide covering the areas of:

  • protecting your identity
  • staying secure online
  • guarding your cards
  • knowing your money
  • spotting fraudsters

We also have some useful information on how to protect yourself when using the internet and when banking online.  In addition, we recently teamed up with MasterCard and Visa, to provide MasterCard SecureCode and Verified by Visa - which will make shopping online with a National Irish Bank card safer than ever.

If you suspect that you are the subject of fraud you can report the fraud through this website or by telephone.
